Meet Jaiden Ceil
Hi there, I’m Jaiden Ceil!
I was raised by an eclectic mix of entrepreneurs who valued hard work and ingenuity and I suppose that’s how I got here today. My mama was the cattle rancher’s daughter who fell for a city boy. I grew up sorting cattle and riding horses one day to fine dining and penthouses within 24 hours. In high school, I would change from muddy cowboy boots into my private school uniform in the parking lot before class. Countless “nice clothes” have fallen victim to barbed wire holes, calf slobber, horse treats, and cow pies. I’ve always loved how alive I feel amidst the constant hustle and bustle of the big city. But, no matter where I’ve gone, I always find myself longing for a sunset and the wind whipping across the plains, for a simpler life where cows outnumber people, where you can see for endless miles and millions of stars lit up the night sky.
Storytelling has always pulled at my heart, and there’s something about the western lifestyle and storytelling just go hand in hand. The true seed for Jaiden Ceil Creative was planted on the plains of West Texas long ago, my family settled here in the mid-1800s. Much of what I do creatively is shaped by my roots and the generations of people who built them. I could spend hours looking through pictures from days gone by and I love how photos can keep a story and a memory alive. I am easily captivated by the moment, the emotions captured, the little details that take you back like it was yesterday. Inspired by those stories and photos from an early age, I would always steal my Gigi’s camera and take pictures of everyday life on the ranch. Trying to mesh agriculture, photography, and storytelling into a career, I headed to Texas Tech and majored in agricultural communications and along the way, I found a love for marketing and design too.
These days I mostly spend my weeks at a desk running a podcast, event planning, designing print materials, producing a magazine, writing press releases, editing photos, and managing social media for my 9-5. I still feel most at home loving on my cows and carrying on my family’s legacy. When I get behind the camera it’s spent capturing cattle, seniors, families, and couples in love.
